Hyperspectral Data Sets

Here are our data sets available for download. Each set contains a group of themed images. All Data is provided in the Scyllarus ‘HSZ‘ Format. Data sets can be downloaded with 8 or 16 bits of depth, and 2 raw files from each set are also available.

Tip: If you are using Scyven and you want to edit a HSZ file, (Crop, resize, remove bands etc) the images, re-save them as HDR (File -> Save Image Cube -> Save Image Source). You can’t edit a HSZ file because that would invalidate the recovered information about the image it holds.

Data Series A

Portraits Outdoors – Natural lighting Number of Images: 15 Size (8/16 bit/raw): 65 / 275 / 100 MB Description: This is a set of portraits taken outdoors. Each scene contains a face along with several other materials, and a visible calibration tile (Labsphere Spectralon). Images are all in HSZ format and were acquired with a Liquid Crystal Tunable Filter (LCTF) in the visible spectrum at 10 nm steps.	Office Scenes Indoors – Fluorescent Lighting Number of Images: 13 Size (8/16 bit/raw): 55 / 240 / 95 MB Description: This is a set of images taken indoors in an office building. Each scene contains a scene illuminated by one or more illuminants and man-made materials. Whenever possible, calibration tile (Labsphere Spectralon) has been included in the scene. Images are all in HSZ format and were acquired with a Liquid Crystal Tunable Filter (LCTF) in the visible spectrum at 10 nm steps.
Close-Ups Outdoors – Natural lighting Number of Images: 15 Size (8/16 bit/raw): 70 / 275 / 110 MB Description: This is a set of images taken with a zoom lens depicting a number of subjects spanning from moss to leafs and tree bark. In these scenes, a calibration tile (Labsphere Spectralon) has been included whenever it was possible. All the imagery is in HSZ format and was acquired with a Liquid Crystal Tunable Filter (LCTF) in the visible spectrum at 10 nm steps.	Fruit Vegetables and Flowers Outdoors – Natural lighting Number of Images: 15 Size (8/16 bit/raw): 50 / 250 / 100 MB Description: This is a set of images taken outdoors depicting vegetables, flowers and fruits arranged on a table. In these scenes, a calibration tile (Labsphere Spectralon) has been included. All the imagery is in HSZ format and was acquired with a Liquid Crystal Tunable Filter (LCTF) in the visible spectrum at 10 nm steps.
Landscapes Outdoors – Natural lighting Number of Images: 15 Size (8/16 bit/raw): 65 / 265 / 105 MB Description: This is a set of images taken outdoors depicting landscapes. Each scene contains various materials, the majority of which are natural but some may be man-made. Whenever possible, calibration tile (Labsphere Spectralon) has been included in the scene. Images are all in HSZ format and were acquired with a Liquid Crystal Tunable Filter (LCTF) in the visible spectrum at 10 nm steps.	Spectral libraries . Number of Libraries: 3 Size: 0.5 MB Description: This is a set of libraries corresponding to the spectra for the tiles in the XRite ColorChecker Classic and the ColorChecker Digital SG colour charts and a number of sample illuminants. All the libraries are in the Scyllarus SLZ format. The spectra has been acquired in-house with a StellarNet spectrometer in the visible and near infrared range. Note that the ISSACC16.slz file only comprises the ColorChecker Classic spectra whereas the ISSACC154.slz library includes both. The illuminant spectra is on ISSAIlluminants9.slz.
